That’s the thing about us- we want to make this world better. This world and our community are doing so much for us that it’s now our responsibility to do something for them. And as our contribution for betterment, we’ve chosen to focus on making the Earth greener.
We are launching project Nelda, with an aim to plant and grow a billion trees in India by 2041.
So, what exactly is project Nelda and what are the benefits of tree plantation in India? Let’s discuss.
Project Nelda’s Goal
To sum it up, project Nelda’s goal is to plant and grow one billion trees in India. But this is a long process – with we aiming to achieve that goal over the next 25 years.
To make the plantation of these many trees possible, we are promoting the concept of green living and the benefits of tree plantation to encourage more people to get involved with the project.
The more people we’ll get to join project Nelda, the better chance we have to meet and even exceed the goal. Creating a better world for all of us.
The benefits of plantation
There are plenty of benefits to planting more trees! For now, let’s just discuss a few!
- Trees produce more oxygen, leading to a greener, cleaner air.
- Due to their natural filtration process, more trees will also mean cleaner water in India’s rivers, streams, and lakes.
- In areas with higher temperatures (such as large towns and cities like Mumbai and Delhi), trees can provide shade, keeping their surroundings fresh and cool.
- Trees provide a natural habitat for wildlife.
- And much more!
So why wouldn’t you want to see more trees being planted across the nation?
