Here at Deshpee, we’ve founded several brands – so we know what it’s like to be a new start up to the game. Supporting start-ups is essential for the future of our economy. More and more entrepreneurs are taking the plunge and setting themselves up for success, so giving them the platforms they need to progress and share their innovations with the world is key.
In India, entrepreneurial endeavours and start-ups are celebrated each year at The August Fest – India’s largest startup conference with a focus on arts and entrepreneurship.
What is the August Fest?
The August Fest launched in 2013 and hit large-scale success in 2014 after gaining the participation of attendees, investors and accelerators from across India, Asia and the rest of the world!
This year’s August Fest is hosting 60 official speakers, and over 4200 people from 10 countries gathering to celebrate arts and entrepreneurship.
It’s a chance for entrepreneurs and start-up companies to show off their innovations and gain recognition for their work amongst a wider audience.
The event hosts a variety of panels, start-up demos and interactive sessions that can not only promote existing start-ups, but also educate up and coming entrepreneurs on how to get their foot in the door and turn their dreams into viable businesses.
Attendees will also get to enjoy workshops, plays, music and even parties – capturing the spirit of Indian festivals and celebrations while still gathering to appreciate the world of business.
When does The August Fest take place?
In 2016, The August Fest will be taking place on the 3rd and 4th of September in Hyderabad, India.
