10 Reasons Why Every Indian Is An Entrepreneur By Birth

Running a business takes a lot of hard work, investment, courage and of course, brains. But it seems like it all comes naturally to us Indians. We at Deshpee are incredibly proud of the way we are. Thus, today we are listing 10 reasons why Indians are the best at running a business. Sorry, but we are going to a bit biased for Indians here!

Hold on tight and take pride in your inner traits.

1. In our family, there is always a Chacha, Mousa and one ‘door ke rishtedaar’ running a business. So at a very young age, we already have an idea of how to run a business. As rightly said, ‘Hum toh paida hi hue the bijness karne ke liye’. Besides, if you are the Sharmaji ka beta, you probably are full of innovative startup ideas already!

2. Business runs in your blood. Even when you haven’t graduated from college, you have multiple ideas of running a business. We don’t need an MBA degree to learn business. ‘Bhai ek todd idea hai, agar maine yeh business kar diya toh Ambani jitna bada toh ho hi jaunga’, is a common line for all of us!

3. Even when we get a job, our attitude towards work is always, kuch time baad mein toh apna business hi chalu karunga. And we make sure we do that.

4. We truly follow the quote ‘create your dreams or someone else will hire you to create theirs’. We all work towards achieving our goals always. So while we go for our 10-6 job, we feed our soul with what we actually want to do, after 6 pm. This could be by being a part of a music band, selling hand-made things, painting, or whatever else.

5. We might be bad at math, but we are always and absolutely on point when it comes to money matters. We know how to save, invest and of course, paise udana. We balance this like no one else!

6. We are risk takers. Whether it means investing in someone else’s schemes or spending all we can in starting our own business. We take risks like we take Chai!

7. Not just the men, but also women, are equally fierce and successful at running businesses. Be it our moms selling homemade stuff which usually turns into a fully fledged business or young girls having their own fashion brands! On this note, let’s show up a little by mentioning Anita Dongre, Ekta Kapoor, and Tanya Dubash.

8. Convincing our parents for that Goa trip and sleepovers with friends has made us are experts at selling our ideas- sales. Hum to Antarctica me barf aur rann me ret bech sakte hain!

9. We always wish to rather own a small business than having a job at an MNC. Because hum toh hai apni marzi ke maalik!

10. And finally, let’s say it aloud, we have a lot of rich people to look up to since our childhood. If we combine the net worth of our top 25 richest people, it amounts to $174.8 billion which is equal to the entire GDP of Ukraine!  Also, India’s wealthiest man Mukesh Ambani owns the most expensive home in the world, which cost $1 billion to construct which is about the same as Somalia’s GDP.

While the world is acknowledging the start-up business culture, we have been a part of it since ages. Running a business is definitely not a joke. However, it is what we Indians are best at. So be a part of Narendra Modi’s startup campaign and celebrate the entrepreneur inside you, because bhai hum toh hain like this!
